POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION:                              Audit Team Leader
REPORTS TO:                         Audit Team Manager
DIVISION:                               Internal Audit
DEPARTMENT:     Corporate & Investment Banking – Finance & Process Audit

Function:

Leads the more complex audits and is directly involved in audit work that needs special attention because of the complexity or the risk.

Coordinates and controls fieldwork according to the audit plan – assigns tasks, identifies aspects that require changes in the work, controls time and expenses and resolves questions. Ensures all relevant risks have been covered during the audits. Drafts audit reports.

Evaluates the audit team’s work. Actively participates in the training of new auditors.

Develops partnerships with clients by understanding their goals and deliverables, key business processes, technologies, risk management practices and areas of potential risk.

Additional responsibilities will include supporting other audit teams from time to time as well as the Department’s participation in acquisition due diligence efforts.

Education & Training:

Bachelor’s degree is required.  A major in Accounting or Finance is preferred.  A professional designation such as a CPA, CIA, etc. is required.

Six or more years experience in auditing, accounting, investment banking, broker-dealer, securities industry preferred. Supervisory experience is required.

Seven or more years’ experience in auditing, accounting, investment banking, broker-dealer, securities industry preferred. Supervisory experience is required.

 

Skills Required:

MS Office Products.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, as required.

Experience interacting with regulators is a plus
